The Catering & Events team spent an inspiring afternoon with Make-A-Wish  -  Arizona, learning about the organization’s 45-year history and touring the facility. They also rolled up their sleeves for arts and crafts projects, creating gifts for wish kids that will bring smiles and encouragement during their journeys.

Through Sarah’s thoughtful planning and leadership, the team not only strengthened their own bonds but also contributed to the mission of bringing joy and hope to children and families across Arizona.

Samantha Delivers Standout Service – Hammock Beach Golf Resort & Spa

At the Atlantic Grille, Samantha is known for going above and beyond to create memorable guest experiences, even while training new team members. Recently, she and James, a newer team member shadowing her, impressed guests with attentive, efficient service during a busy shift.

When the guests accidentally left behind $300 earbuds, Samantha and James not only secured them but also remembered the guests’ names, located their room, and ensured the items were returned quickly and safely. Heroes at The Heldrich: Judy and Marcus' Life-Saving Response

In a remarkable display of heroism, Judy and Marcus from The Heldrich Hotel and Conference Center's team sprang into action on September 7th. They received an emergency call reporting a water leak from a resident's condo. What they encountered was a life-threatening situation - an unconscious man surrounded by four inches of water. Working together seamlessly, Judy called 911 while Marcus took immediate action to stop the flooding.

Their swift response earned them hero status as they coordinated with first responders to ensure the man received prompt medical attention. Judy and Marcus didn't stop there; they stayed an extra four hours past their shift, working tirelessly into the early hours of the morning to clean up, secure the area, and complete all necessary reporting. Their unwavering dedication in the face of adversity is a shining example of what it means to go above and beyond, embodying the spirit of "Be The Difference.

Deloitte Hotel & Conference Center Team Gives Back Through The Awareness Project

The team at the Deloitte Hotel & Conference Center recently came together for a powerful day of giving back, volunteering with The Awareness Project, a nonprofit organization rooted in compassion and service.

The Awareness Project was originally started by a former team member who worked as a server in the Market, the property’s main restaurant. Years later, his vision has evolved into a thriving community resource center in Hurst, Texas, offering a pay-what-you-can café, a food pantry, a thrift store, and access to essential services, including housing and job support.

The DU team’s volunteer day supported the organization’s mission of helping those in need through hands-on service and community engagement. From serving food to assisting with operations, the team’s involvement left a meaningful mark.

Without hesitation, Kalyn stepped in—changing the tire and offering reassurance during a truly stressful moment. Her selflessness, care, and warmth are felt not only in moments like this but in everything she does for the team, both on and off the clock.

Arizona Biltmore Rallies for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

This October, the Arizona Biltmore team came together with passion and purpose to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Led by a powerful commitment to make an impact, twenty-six team members and their loved ones participated in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk at Tempe Town Lake, raising an inspiring $1,676 for the cause.

But our team didn’t stop there. Through the Pink Cabana program at our Saguaro and Paradise Pools, our guests and team members showed incredible generosity, raising an additional $9,911. Together, we proudly contributed a remarkable $11,587 to the fight against breast cancer.
